Use of the term Cup Holder vs. Drink Holder

It's an age old battle, drink holder vs. cup holder.  The struggle has been raging now for years and years.  Which side are you on?  What's the difference you're asking yourself?  Well, if you don't know, I'm not sure I can tell you.

Haha, the answer is nothing really.  More people choose to call it a cup holder rather than a drink holder.  The definition of both is anything that can hold a device, such as a cup or other drinking vessel.  Pretty straight forward right?  It can also be found in many uses, such as a coffee cup holder, or the drink holders at the end of the armrests at movie theaters, or the main place the cup holder got it's start was the revolutionary idea to include an automobile cup holder, etc.

The battle is still raging, so pick a side.  If you love the underdog, then drink holder is for you.  Want to take the easy fight, well then cup holder is your term of choice.

Two New Drink Holder Articles Published.

We've had two new articles published on Ezinearticles.com.

The first is similar to a post or two here, but it discusses how the cup holder came to be included in car's interior design. Pretty interesting story as far as drink olders go, so check it out if you're interested. Click http://ezinearticles.com/?id=2986556 .

The second article is also similar to another post on here, but it discusses the most important of all automobile accessories, the car cup holder. Anything from coffee, to change, and the more important but gorwing smaller in size cellphones. This might give you a few ideas on how to maximize the use of that nifty little invention. Car or Auto Cup Holder.

Depending on who you're talking to, or which article you're reading on the internet, it's argued that the automotive industry created the cup holder. We're not going to debate it, but the one fact we can agree on is that a drink holder is very commonplace in most cars and trucks today. It seems european auto makers are a bit slow to react, so there are a number of cup holders targetted at imports exclusively. These models usually slide behind a panel in the car, or between the window and the door. There's even one model out there that will fit into existing cup holders, and catches any spills or condensation, keeping your car neat and tidy.

Wheelchair Cup Holder.

Many individuals in a wheelchair or scooter like the convenience of a cup holder. There are many forms and varieties. Some attach onto the armrest, putting the drink out in front of you. While others attach to the side. This can include flip-down models, or models that connect to the framing of the wheelchair. The designs also vary, with particular cup holders specifically meant for bottles or canned beverages, while others allow slots for a coffee cup or mug.

Stadium Cup Holder.

Most stadiums have cup holders built into the armrest like at a movie theater. Some sporting venues do not. Whether drinking a soda or a beer, when it's time to cheer, this can become a huge problem, and spilling your drink on your spouse or date doesn't make for a romantic evening. There are drink holders available that mimic most stadiums, by holding your beverage at the end of your armrest, but also a few more fan oriented types of cup holders. Some padded seat cushions have a cup holder portion attached that dangles between your legs, and if you're at a stadium with bleachers as seating, there's a few clip-on cup holders that slide onto your seat.

Stroller Cup Holder.

Almost every large stroller, or travel system as they're sometimes called, has cup holders built in for the toddlers as well as parents.  These strollers can be too large, and even take up the entire trunk of a car.  Most parents are opting for smaller, more compactable strollers.  Unfortunately one of the luxuries they are forced to give up is a cup holder.  Luckily for these consumers, an entire aftermarket exists, with numerous different options.  It's also where the cup holder design gets most creative, and if individuals in unique situations can't find a cup holder that suits them, I often suggest searching for "stroller cup holder" on Google, eBay, or Amazon, as they will find not only a large variety of options, but most stroller drink holders tend to be easier on the pocketbook.

Stadium Seating Info

Stadium seating is an integral and important aspect of construction of sports venues and facilities. There are quite a few types of stadium seats that are in vogue which is a function of the kind of sports activities being played in the stadium concerned. Some of these are bleachers while others are in the form of row seats and also individual seating as the case may be. Seats are of great significance for concerts as well as sporting events which means that you can see the entire goings on in the stage or the sports arena only if the seats are properly placed. In some venues, you can reach special suites and spectator boxes by elevators, with the availability of every kind of amenity to suit your needs.

When it comes to stadium seating, you can have a number of seats that have support portions that are not cushioned, with other parts of the seats being specially upholstered. Some of the seats are totally un-upholstered and these are known as bleachers found in some stadiums. In other stadiums that are more modern, it is possible to have well designed and ergonomic seats that are also found in parks and can be made of plastic or metal too.

In movie theaters, the trend has shifted in favor of seats that are similar to those found in the stadiums and not merely the ones which had the slightly inclined designs that were just mildly comfortable. In stadiums, the entrance is at the rear, with a ramp placed in the wall, where there are stairs on either side that lead up to the seats. It is sad but true that when it comes to people in wheelchairs, they are generally forced to take up position in the front rows, which are least preferred by other users. This is because that this position they have to strain and stretch their necks. With change in the air, some mobility sensitive theaters are adding in elevators specially for wheelchairs to help patrons reach the top rows.

Modern baseball stadiums tend to be constructed with tiered seating that includes chairs with backs and arms, while many football stadiums make use of simple tiered bleacher style seats that are marked out on the tier itself. This form of stadium seating is sometimes referred to as stepped seating, as it is possible to step up and down on the seats, as well as in the aisles. Some college stadiums till incorporate this style, with the numbers of the seat labeled on the bleachers.

Stadium seating with a backrest can turn a venue from a tolerable place for spectators, into a comfortable one. There are some inexpensive backrest stadium accessories options, including seating you can use with preexisting bleachers or other seating structures. Stadium seating for persons with disabilities has also been expanded.
